Fall Book Haul – Tons of Classics!

So, about a month ago or so I stumbled across the whole BookTube world. To say that it may have changed my life does not seem too dramatic.

I quickly got sucked into watching tons of videos about books and came away really excited to dive into reading more classics. Reading more classics has been a goal of mine for the last two-ish years, and I started two local book clubs as a result  (one of which quickly fizzled cause people didn’t show up and the other is still going strong). But, I still wanted to read more and the last few weeks have resulted in a really great classics to read list.

Book Haul - mostly classics and mostly thrifted, second hand books

I’ve decided to buy the classics I read instead of taking them out from the library for a few reasons:

  1. they are classics, so I feel like I should have them on my shelf
  2. some of these will take longer to read and this way I don’t have to worry about trying to finish each book within three weeks
  3. most of these are so popular it is super easy to find them second hand

So, I’ve bought a few books in the last little while . . . and I made a video to share them with you! (And then immediately bought two books after filming the video . . .)

Links to all the books are below.

I would love to hear what you think about book videos, I may do some more in the future. I was thinking of a November TBR list and one for my October reading wrap up. I don’t think I’ll write a blog post to go with the TBR list but will for the reading wrap up. That’s my current plan anyway.

The two additional books I picked up after filming the video, one classic and one biography, both of which I am excited to read:

The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath

House of Dreams: The Life of L.M. Montgomery by Liz Rosenberg
