four months waiting
Another month has come and gone. This is the first month that I did not email our case worker at our adoption agency to get an idea where we are on the list.
If I was being honest, I’d have to say I can’t believe how easy the wait has been so far. I mean, sure, every day I want to see photos of the child(ren) that will be joining our family and nearly every day I think about how nice it will be for Raeca to have a sibling to play with, and I really can’t wait to get started on his/her room, and the list can go on, but I have been very content with the wait. I told a friend a while ago that there must be a lot of people praying for us because patience isn’t exactly my strong point. So, thank you for your prayers, they really are working!!
Right now Jared and I are doing some adoption training required by our agency. There are three online courses that they require us to take and we have so far completed one of them. I’m hoping we have time to go through the other two courses in the next couple of weeks because I like to complete the parts that we can control as fast as possible (hence why we cruised through our paperwork at the beginning of the process).
This last month God has caused a few women that have a history of and/or are interested in adoption to cross my path. I would love for your prayers to answer all their questions the best I can. One of the major reasons I write on this blog is to raise adoption awareness (especially in my community) so it’s really neat to see it actually working.
If there is any way that I can pray for you this week please let me know!
with love,
Chantel
