raising kids right

If you asked me to tell you about one thing that I’ve learned from our adoption process so far, today I would tell you that there are some very generous people in this world.

A few months ago I was taking photos for a sweet family and as I was preparing to leave I was presented with a small, white envelope. I was told that the two boys have been taught that they need to give away 10% of their allowance and for the last while they chose to save their 10% and give it to us for our adoption. Doesn’t that just give you the warm fuzzies? (This family is just inspiring in general: they have two biological boys, have two girls adopted from China and have started the process of adopting a boy from China -I love it!)

I enjoy watching parents who are raising their children right -it makes me excited for the future when I can teach my children these things and also makes me realize that what I am teaching Raeca now will shape her for the rest of her life.

I hope your week is going well!

with love,
Chantel

Last week was month three on our agency’s wait list. There isn’t really anything new to report from last month, and there probably won’t be anything new until we get our referral but I still like making a point of noting the day. It reminds me of when I was pregnant with Raeca and constantly…
