raising kids right

If you asked me to tell you about one thing that I’ve learned from our adoption process so far, today I would tell you that there are some very generous people in this world.

A few months ago I was taking photos for a sweet family and as I was preparing to leave I was presented with a small, white envelope. I was told that the two boys have been taught that they need to give away 10% of their allowance and for the last while they chose to save their 10% and give it to us for our adoption. Doesn’t that just give you the warm fuzzies? (This family is just inspiring in general: they have two biological boys, have two girls adopted from China and have started the process of adopting a boy from China -I love it!)

I enjoy watching parents who are raising their children right -it makes me excited for the future when I can teach my children these things and also makes me realize that what I am teaching Raeca now will shape her for the rest of her life.

I hope your week is going well!

with love,
Chantel

Another month has come and gone. One month closer to that elusive referral. I really don’t have much to report for the month. I didn’t update in December because things didn’t seem to be moving. It doesn’t sound like we are much closer now either. On the bright side, we’ve been connected with yet another…
