two months waiting

In the midst of this busy week we reached two months on the adoption referral waitlist. Though from my understanding we really haven’t moved up on the list at all from last month which is a bit of a bummer (do people still use the word bummer?).

Despite the news of not moving up on the list it was a pretty good day because we got a much anticipated paper in the mail -our Canadian Immigration and Citizenship Part 1 approval. Now we just need to get it notarized and ship it off to Social Services in Regina and they will forward it down to our agency in Georgia where it will meet up with the rest of our dossier. And then we have officially completed our dossier! Whoop!

We would love for you to continue to pray for us as we wait!

with love,
Chantel

    The Way Back Home

Today we start our journey back home! I still have lots to share from our time here and I hope to do that in the coming weeks after Christmas. (It’s so hard to believe it’s almost Christmas! We’ve been focused on other stuff for so long we’ve pretty much missed the entire Christmas season.) Anyway,…

  • Home

Well, we made it home! We are finally spending Christmas with this little guy. The one we’ve been praying for long before he was even born. I mentioned on Instagram that he didn’t know it but he is home, but truthfully, I think he does know it. He is so happy to be here, yesterday…

    Meeting Ephraim

It’s crazy to think that it’s been over a week since we first met Ephraim, he has come out of his shell so much in the last week, he doesn’t seem like the same kid we first met. Saturday morning came early for us since we were still tired from our journey over. But we…

    many thanks

Thank you to everyone for your messages and words of encouragement over our news last week. While it is a let down I know God’s hand is in this in a major way just by the peace that we feel. We still don’t know where we are going from here but in the last week…

  1. I still say bummer all. the. time!! haha Keep on using it! I actually told a group of women last week that I was going to bring the word ‘rad’ back and proceeded to use it the rest of the night. It was funny!

What’s a ‘dossier’? I’ve never heard that word before and know little of adoption or even Canadian citizenship…

    1. Rad! Let’s just bring back all these words!
A dossier (pronounced doss-ee-ay) is pretty much just a file of all the paperwork we have to do for our adoption; criminal record checks, child abuse checks, medical checks, copies of birth certificates, the homestudy report, etc, etc, etc.

    1. Thank you so much!! We really appreciate every prayer. We must have an army praying because I really haven’t gotten too anxious yet, and I’m not a patient person so that is a small victory right there!
