Prayer in the Waiting
While I’ve been taking time in the last month to write my little eBook devotional I’ve been thinking a lot about all you out there who are also waiting.
The waiting game can be a hard one. And I know that I’m not the only one in it. One of the things I’ve been doing lately is trying to not get caught up in my own life while I’m in this season but try to focus on and encourage others.
A couple of years ago I read a few amazing books on prayer; The Circle Maker and Sun Stand Still which revolutionized my prayer life (both of which are great reads, I highly recommend them). They really showed me the importance of prayer and taking time to do so each day.
But it goes beyond just praying for ourselves, our own hopes, dreams and problems, we need to make an effort to pray for others as well.
Today I’d like to pray for you.
It doesn’t have to be about something you are waiting for, I’d like to pray for anything you need prayer for. Feel free to leave a comment, send me an email, or hey, even a text message! -You can email me for my number 🙂
How can I pray for you today?
While you are in this season of your life, who else can you be praying for?
you wonderful lady you!!! would love every ounce of your prayerful support (as i don’t think that strange long mobile number you wrote would work from here haha)! Thank you lovely! Right back at ya as we sit in this love filled waiting room x
Haha, yeah calling different countries is confusing. I just Googled it out of curiosity and it looks like you would need to dial 0011 to call out of Australia and then the number I listed.
I’ll definitely be praying for you!!
You are sweet!!! My husband is reading Circle Maker right now and I did a post about Sun Stand Still – not the book, but a sermon – so so so good!! I need to read them both! I can def use prayers with the loss of my sweet Kai and the waiting game for babies 🙂 Thanks Chantel!
Definitely praying for you Caroline!
This is great Chantel! Waiting can be so tricky sometimes, but every time we’re in a season of waiting I feel like that is when God is shaping us. I would love for you to pray for Tyler and I! I would just love for you to cover us in prayer has Tyler prepares for certain creativity goals.
You are definitely right Samantha, the waiting is definitely a time of God working in us. I’ve already seen so many benefits and good things come out of this time, though it’s still hard to wait. 🙂
I’ll be praying for you and Tyler!
You are too sweet! Say some prayers for my anxiety, I could use them <3
Praying for you Brooklyn!
i would love to finally recover from pneumonia! although i am not really doing myself a favor by going out taking trips to LA and eating ice cream all the time.. :/
Ooh, I hear you girl, I get pneumonia every few months, it’s not fun. Take it easy a bit, I’ll be praying for you!
You are so sweet!!
I would be honoreed if you would follow my journey with Huntington’s disease, and pray for a cure http://www.livingwithpassion90.blogspot.com
I’m praying for you Alexandra!
I love this! What a wonderful way to serve God by offering your prayer ministry! I would love it if you would pray for my direction for every single day as I make some transitions in my life, especially my physical heath aspect of it! <3 Thank you! (I may steal this idea for my blog in the near future…if that is okay with you?)
Thanks for sharing. I’ll add you to my prayer list!
Go right ahead and do this on your blog! 🙂
I hae been wanting to read the circle maker!

It’s such a good read!
Mothering teenagers is a road of constant learning. Pray for wisdom for me? xo
Oh my goodness, I can’t imagine. I’m dreading the day Raeca is a teenager (she’s got so much attitude at 3!). I’ll keep you in my prayers!
Very excited for your eBook.
God has been pressing on me to pray too. It’s actually been incredible what He has shown me through it and how I am more able to see His hand working through it.
We recently experienced a loss at our church – which I reflected on in a post this week. Throughout God’s invitation to pray for our sister, because of the obedience He lead me to in prayer, I can’t believe what a miracle He has done in her passing. 🙂
Keep praying Chantel and thank you always for your encouragement 🙂
Been praying for you Lorraine! <3
Thanks Chantel – I appreciate that!! 🙂
i am really pumped about this ebook.
and girl i needed to read this today (and thank you for the recommendations, i will look into them).
i’m struggling with praying in the waiting process. i need to pray more, dig deeper, and just groundmyself in GOd and His word…and stop…killing myself with seperation. <3 thanks again
Thanks Amy, I hope you like the book! 🙂
