six months post-surgery

Raeca had  her six months post-surgery appointment today. I can’t believe it has been that long and yet at the same time I can hardly remember what her head looked like before.

I took this photo the day before the operation. Her head was so long and narrow.

The morning after her surgery, she was so swollen.

And six and a half months after surgery. Her hair is getting thick enough now that most people don’t notice the scar that she has running from ear to ear.

If all goes well she will just have one more appointment with the neurosurgeon. Though everything has gone extremely well, I can’t wait to close that chapter in her life.

Understand, therefore, that the LORD your God is indeed God. He is the faithful God who keeps his covenant for a thousand generations and lavishes his unfailing love on those who love him and obey his commands.
